據佛經說，佛教教主釋迦牟尼剛從其母之「右脥」生出後，便即能「走七步」且「無人扶持」，並「舉手而言：「天上天下唯我獨尊。」茲抄錄長阿含經卷第一「大本經」中的原文如下：「從右脥出（龔按：佛教徒相信釋迦牟尼非從其母腹所生，而係從其母之右脥生出），墮地行七步（龔按：剛生的嬰兒都身軟如綿，且根本無法走路，嬰孩需要到五、六個月後才能爬行，我有三個兒女，我都知道這些），無人扶持，遍觀四方（龔按：嬰兒剛出生後，眼睛都仍閉著，但釋迦卻能遍觀四方云云），舉手而言，天上天下唯我獨尊，要度眾生生老病死，此是常法。」（龔按：據我所知，嬰兒剛出娘胎時，本能地閉上了眼睛拼命地吸母奶倒是事實，但釋迦剛生下後，居然能走路，能舉手，且能說出「大言不慚」的狂言──「天上天下唯我獨尊」，並自以為是繼續說了要度眾生生老病死云云。

It is a big problem for a developed society that the lower class has to face globalization challenge. Friedman provided so many methods for the middle class to face globalization challenge but none of them is for lower class. He mentioned in a flattening world which have a large group of people being half flat and unflat. He said that being flat was good but full of pressure, being unflat is awful and full of pain, but being unflat had its own special anxiety. He considers the half flat are the rural India, rural China, and rural Eastern Europe, which are closed enough to see, touch , and occasionally benefit from the flat world but who are not really living inside it. However, I regard the half flat and unflat not only in the rural area of the developing societies but also in the developed societies-they are the lower class.

What can we do to face the globalization challenge? Thomas L. Friedman gives some opinions to us; “To be an Untouchable” where no one can retain ones job or position in the global village. He told us to find specialized, localized, collaborated, knowledgeable, innovated and personalized jobs (new middle jobs) because traditional white-collar service jobs are becoming fungible. We must find a job that would never be outsourced, automated, or made tradable by electronic transfer.

Recently, I read a book which called < The World is Flat>. This is a famous book this year and many local columnists introduce and recommend it. The theme of the book is globalization - The world is to be flat. The author tells us - What is globalization? What are the factors to conduce it? What are the benefits of it? What are the problems of it? How can we do to face globalization? In general, I agree the view of the author but I do not agree all the opinions within especially he talked about Islam which I was enlightened by this.
